If you’re familiar with Apollo Sceptres, you already know how rarely they come up for sale. If you’re not, welcome to one of the most unique luxury motorhomes ever built.
The Apollo Sceptre was Apollo’s flagship coach and one of the most expensive motorhomes available in the early 1980s. Each Sceptre was custom built, and only 44 coaches were ever produced between 1982 and 1984. With an original price approaching $180,000 in the early 1980s, the Sceptre represented the pinnacle of Apollo’s engineering and craftsmanship.
This coach is Serial #41, making it one of the final Sceptres produced. It is a 1984 build titled as a 1985 model and is one of only two known coaches built with the blue exterior striping and matching interior accents, rather than the more common brown color scheme.
During my ownership I’ve become actively involved with the Apollo Sceptre owner community and currently help maintain ApolloSceptreMotorhomes.com. That involvement has allowed me to learn these coaches inside and out while connecting with owners around the country. My focus with this coach has been mechanical reliability first, while preserving the character that makes the Sceptre unique.

Interior
The flooring has been updated, giving the coach a much cleaner and brighter feel while maintaining its vintage character.
I also redesigned the dinette area with a custom bench that houses the fresh water tank and pump while providing additional sleeping space. The original dinette components are included with the sale for anyone wishing to return the coach to its factory configuration.
This is not a museum-restored Sceptre, nor have I tried to modernize it beyond recognition. Instead, I’ve concentrated on building a mechanically dependable coach that still retains the qualities that make these Apollos so unique. There are still a few minor cosmetic projects a future owner may wish to personalize, but the major mechanical work has already been addressed.
Tires
The tires have very low mileage but are aged due to time. I’ve priced the coach with that in mind so the next owner can choose the tire brand they prefer.
Why I’m Selling
I’ve genuinely enjoyed owning and improving this rare coach, but I also own other RVs and simply don’t have the space to keep every project. I’d much rather see it go to someone who appreciates what the Sceptre is and wants to continue preserving and enjoying it.
